Im suprised your havent blown your engine yet. They usually over-heat and are destroyed completely if you drive around with no oil.
Reply:The engine seizes.
Reply:All I know is if you try to run the engine, it will lock it down completely.
Reply:the engine will blow out
Reply:Engine will blow up. Not a good idea to run it like that at all! Also check underneath and see if there is an oil leak anywhere after you put oil in it.
Reply:Your are in BIG TROUBLE! The whole engine can lock up or crack the whole engine block. GET OIL IN THERE NOW!!!! AND I MEAN NOW!!!!!!!
Reply:There may still be oil in the car. Just put more oil in it. I just had that problem when I got my oil change recently. There was still plenty of oil, just not enough to register on the dipstick.
Reply:it is possible that nothing will happen, if you caught it inn time. but the reality is that you will probably blow the engine. particularly the head
Reply:The engine will just seize up and there goes your motor. It will completely ruining it and it will stop really violently all of a sudden when your driving. You really don%26#039;t want to drive with even low oil, its very expensive to repair a car that was seized because of no oil.
Reply:The dipstick is just the top 1 quart of oil. Re-add until it%26#039;s reached the top.

You may want to look into why you%26#039;re losing oil ... either by burning, consumption, or a leak.

But you should check your oil level once a week ... it%26#039;s a good habit to get into. It takes 30 seconds and guarantees you from having to buy a new engine.

You%26#039;ll probably want to get some oil in that thing right now if you want to have any hope of saving it. Although, at this point, you%26#039;ll probably need to have the thing rebuilt anyway, but at least its driveable (hopefully).
Reply:No lubrication, so the parts inside heat up and weld themselves together literally. Use Synthetic , great protection for just these cases. They happen
Reply:Chances are you still have oil in the oil pan, just the stick is not reaching it. You need to add oil to its proper level before operating engine. Listen to engine for irregular noises once oil is added and started.
Reply:There can be a lot of problems that will happen to the engine. And that happens to be in the car.

Run out of oil you could end up with bent rods/rod bearings.

Could crack the heads, Blow a head gasket, Throw a rod through the crank case, Score the cylender heads, Just a bunch of things that could happen to the cars engine. If the engine has been running without oil for some time and nothing has happened yet. Then put oil in it. Sell the car fast and buy another one and fast.
