Guys please help me with my car!!?

I have a 95 saturn, that has been running great! No problems, and today I went to the pharmacy, turned my car off and 3 minutes later went to turn it back on, and it wouldnt start. When I turn the key, all you hear is %26quot;tick tick tick%26quot;. Its not my battery, my battery is full. I am thinking it might be the starter, any of you men have any advice for me? Thank you for taking your time to help.

Well it says it is full. but it may not start the car with under cranking power. The battery may look good but without its cranking power it is dead.


Have it checked along with the alternator.

could be starter or starter soloniod gone bad, if not battery or alternator
Reply:It could be in the connections from the battery to the starter, Check your terminals on your battery.If these are fine it is most likely the starter.That is if the battery is fully charged.
Reply:it sounds as if it could be the starter, or it could just be the battery terminals not on tight enough.
Reply:A battery wire might not be making a good connection if it%26#039;s loose or corroded. The %26quot;tick%26quot; you%26#039;re hearing is the solenoid. It%26#039;s a heavy duty switch that the key switch actuates to engage the starter. It could be bad in which you would need to replace the starter/solenoid assembly. Talk to a trusted mechanic. Reply:the next time it does that, hit the starter lightly with a hammer or something, sometimes they will stick, also it might be the starter solenoid sticking.
Reply:SOUNDS LIKE YOUR SOLENOID HAS WENT OUT , IF IT IS MOUNTED ON YOUR STARTER ------THEN REPLACE BOTH , IF IT IS SEPARATE THEN REPLACE IT
